Weather Alert Day: What to expect after overnight storms, tornado warnings

Is there a school delay due to a tornado warning?

New Albany Plain Local Schools have declared a two-hour delay due to weather warnings on Wednesday, resulting in the cancellation of morning kindergarten, morning preschool, and morning Eagles Nest.

How do I check for power losses during the storm?

AEP Ohio maintains an online map of power outages in the area. The Columbus Division of Power maintains its outage map. If your address appears on the map, there is no need to report an outage at that place. The city is already aware.

Talk about Forecasting:

The morning begins with intense thunderstorms moving through the area. This activity will persist during the morning commute and then move towards the southeast by late morning or early afternoon. Furthermore, we will be situated at the rear boundary of a cold front. Temperatures will decrease throughout the afternoon, eventually dropping to the 30s. This afternoon will be significantly colder than this morning. Expect windy conditions, with gusts reaching up to 40 miles per hour.

Tomorrow, clouds will dissipate, allowing for abundant sunshine. Anticipate colder temperatures with highs in the lower 40s. Tomorrow afternoon will be significantly less windy.

On Friday, a brief and mild weather system will pass through, resulting in the possibility of scattered afternoon showers. A warming trend will begin, leading to temperatures in the upper 40s over the weekend.

We will experience increasing temperatures as we move into the weekend. Saturday will have partly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching the upper 50s. On Sunday, the temperature will reach the upper 60s, almost 70, with abundant sunshine.
