The CHARLESTON → In an address on Wednesday, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley will announce her withdrawal from the 2024 presidential campaign. In a speech from Charleston, South Carolina, Governor Haley will declare her support for former President Donald Trump.
She will not endorse Trump immediately, given his declining support from moderate Republicans and independents. Haley, who served as the inaugural Indian-American and female governor of South Carolina, remained Trump’s final opponent.
She amassed support through her debate performances and her prior experience as Trump’s former United Nations ambassador on foreign policy. Haley, the thirteenth and final Republican challenger to defeat Trump, pledged to remain in the race until at least Super Tuesday.
